BIO

Daniella Ungo Berrío (Panama, 2002) is a transdisciplinary artist, academic, and textual accumulator. She trained in Visual and Critical Studies with a focus on photography at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Illinois. During her time in Chicago, she constructed and exhibited two photographic books titled “Reconocimiento de Patrones” and “Memorias de Desintegración” and presented her undergraduate thesis, “Paschōgraphia or How to Read Pain,” at the 2025 Undergraduate Symposium on Visual and Critical Studies: “Fine Young Cannibals.”

Her thesis presents computational and mathematical recursion as an alternative model for understanding autoimmune conditions. Her areas of interest include Lacanian psychoanalysis, crip theory, pain as a cultural phenomenon, Latin American studies, and experimental film.

Daniella has never read a book she hasnt projected onto.
